Humane Animal Partners officially rolled out its brand-new Mobile Veterinary Clinic at a ribbon cutting ceremony this past Thursday, June 12 at our Rehoboth Beach location. With the snip of the ceremonial scissors and support from community leaders, partners, and staff, this long-anticipated resource is now ready to hit the road and begin transforming access to care for pets and families across Sussex County.
Thanks to a generous capital grant from the State of Delaware’s Community Reinvestment Fund, and the continued support of Sandy’s Fund (a donor-led initiative that helps cover the cost of veterinary services for families in need), the Mobile Veterinary Clinic will significantly expand HAP’s ability to deliver low-cost, high-quality care throughout southern Delaware.
Here’s what the Mobile Veterinary Clinic brings to the community:
Express Wellness Appointments – On-site at HAP Rehoboth, these 30-minute visits are ideal for healthy pets needing checkups, prescription renewals (like flea/tick or heartworm preventatives), and core vaccinations. Appointments are $30, with pay-as-you-go pricing for services.
Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Surgeries – The mobile unit also allows for spay/neuter procedures to be performed on-site at HAP Rehoboth. For the time being, only feline surgeries are available.
$20 Vaccination Clinics – In partnership with local nonprofits, HAP will offer pop-up vaccine clinics at community hubs across Sussex County. For just $20 per pet, owners receive core vaccines (including rabies, Bordetella, FVRCP, DHPP), general deworming, flea/tick preventatives, and even microchipping.
This mobile veterinary unit really elevates our ability to serve the local community and play our part in keeping pets healthy and connected to their families. We’re excited to get these wheels into the neighborhoods where pet care is needed most!
