MEET RAIDEN🐱🧡 This #HAPMeowyMonday our gorgeous guy, Raiden, is making his debut!

Raiden is a 2 year old energetic, lover boy! He came to HAP from a high-intake shelter partner in New Jersey when they no longer had space for him. Despite being bounced around quite a bit in his short life, this little man is one of our happiest nd friendliest kitties! He currently lives in our free-roam room, where he LOVES his fellow feline friends! Upon entering his room, he is sure to run right up to you to introduce himself. He first won us over for his piercing orange eyes, like a burst of sunshine, and super soft buff coat. As we got to know him, Raiden is so much more than just a stunningly handsome man. Raiden keeps us all entertained with his goofy, playful, and sometimes sassy personality! His favorite activities include throwing toys for himself, laying on top of his kitty friends, purring away like a motor, and following human friends around until he gets the love he longs for.

Raiden is definitely an energetic boy, that would do phenomenal with another cat to play with in a home! Due to his playful, gentle personality, we believe he would likely do well with children too!

THANK YOU, KAREN👏🎉🩷 To celebrate National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we will be highlighting some of our top volunteers across all HAP locations!

We can’t help but show some love to a human that our pups ADORE! Karen began participating in our Doggy Day Out program in August 2023. Since then, she has taken dozens of dogs for a well-deserved break from shelter life. We quickly learned that Karen is ready for a challenge and wants to truly help our pups be the best they can be! A quality we love about Karen is her willingness to spend time building bonds with our anxious and under socialized dogs, ensuring they are comfortable with her before their outings. Karen has also provided breaks from the shelter for many, if not all, of our longest resident dogs! In addition to providing exercise, enrichment, and affection to our dogs, Karen is quite the photographer! She captures beautiful photos and videos of all the dogs she interacts with. Her amazing skills with her camera have been shared countless times, helping to catch the eye of potential adopters. We are so grateful for all of Karen’s support and the love she provides to our pups! THANK YOU, KAREN ❤️👏🥰

WE ❤️ KELLY! To kick things off for National Volunteer Appreciation Week, we are highlighting a superstar at HAP Rehoboth Beach!

Kelly has been a volunteer, foster, and dedicated supporter with HAP since 2023! Kelly comes in rain, snow or shine to walk and help care for our dogs. She is one of our top Doggy Day Out volunteers, providing dozens of dogs with a break from shelter life. From strolling the beach to exploring local pet-friendly shops, our pups always have a blast with Kelly! In addition, Kelly helps supply us with treats, bones, and toys for our dogs. While she loves to give our dogs exercise, she also helps our staff! She is always willing to lend a hand. Whether that’s through making enrichment toys or prepping mealtime for our pups. We are so grateful for Kelly’s positive energy and endless support of our animals! THANK YOU, KELLY 👏💜🎉
