HAPPY TAILS, LANEY👋💙🥹 You may remember this beautiful girl, Laney, from our plea for help in February.

Laney was found by animal control in Georgia, after being hit by a truck. Her injuries were so severe, their shelter did not have the resources to treat her, so she was scheduled for euthanasia. Despite being at capacity, we knew we had to make room to save her. Upon arrival it was clear Laney was in an immense amount of pain. After evaluating her x-rays and consulting with Dr. Roberts at Malvern Hope Blue Pearl, it was decided that her injuries were beyond repair and an amputation would be necessary. Thanks to our amazing and generous supporters, Laney was able to receive the care she needed!

Laney spent 4 weeks recovering in a loving foster home, before Madeline heard her story and wanted to meet her. Madeline had previously adopted an aussie, Jilly, from HAP 15 years ago. When Jilly crossed the rainbow bridge in 2022, Madeline had asked Jilly to send her another furry friend when she was ready. When she met Laney, they quickly bonded and she knew she was ready to welcome another rescue into her heart! Madeline fostered Laney for a week, as she finished her treatment. Yesterday, Madeline made it official and adopted Laney!

Adoptable Smokey is here to remind you that HAP Stanton/Christiana is hosting a vaccine clinic this Saturday, April 20 from 9AM-11AM!

Our vaccine clinics make it convenient and affordable to help your pet stay healthy and happy. There is no appointment needed, services are discounted, and you don’t pay an exam fee like you would for a veterinary appointment. Vaccinations available for cats and dogs only.

PRICING - Cash, Credit, Debit accepted
🐾All vaccinations are $20 each (Distemper, Bordetella, and Rabies offered)
🐾Microchip $25
🐾General De-Wormer (Pyrantel Pamoate)– Two doses $5 each

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
⭐️Cats must be in a hard plastic or cardboard carrier
⭐️Dogs must wear a collar and non-retractable leash
⭐️3-year vaccines are available if you bring your pets most recent up-to-date rabies certificate with you
⭐️If your pet requires a muzzle, please bring your animals properly fitting muzzle with you (owners must be able to put the muzzle on their pet)

When we received these letters in the mail, our team was blown away by the love, passion, and incredible artwork from Northley Middle School students! 🥹💙

Last month, the 7th grade students spent the morning learning all about animal welfare. Our Volunteer Manager, Ashton, and Director of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Green had a blast engaging with their class for their career day. The students supported our shelter animals, by creating 30+ enrichment frisbees to help ease kennel stress for our pups. Of course, they also had a blast socializing and playing with our young pups too! We are so grateful they chose to spend the day with HAP and for their support of our animals, THANK YOU!
