YOUR MISSING LINK🔗🥰🐾 We are introducing a second pup this #HAPWoofWednesday, our goofy boy Link!

Link has spent 342 days in our shelter, patiently waiting to find a home! He is a 3 year old Great Dane mix that loves to play and explore. Link came to HAP from a high-intake shelter partner in Georgia, where he was at risk of euthanasia simply for his size. Despite being a big boy, Link is truly a gentle giant and very well-mannered with people. If anything, watch out for his extreme tail wags!

Link has been overlooked for so long because of his size and strength, but he hasn’t given up on finding a family to call his own! He enjoys spending time in our fenced fields to get his zoomies out and play fetch with his favorite squeaky toys. He loves to sniff and explore too, making him the perfect adventure buddy! After some time outside, he melts into a snuggly baby and loves getting back scratches. Link has participated in our Doggy Day Out program, take a look what our volunteers had to say about their day with him:

⭐️”Link was the BEST boy this morning on our trail walk. He’s a big guy, so he might look like he would be a handful, but he is the sweetest, chillest, marshmallowiest boy. He has irresistible velvety ears that he likes having rubbed. Really hope someone adopts this sweet guy soon.”

⭐️”Link and I had a good, long hike today at Carousel Park! He’s a handsome guy with plenty of energy. He loves to take in all the smells and sounds of outside. He knows ‘sit’ and will look for that tasty reward! Overall, he has plenty of energy for a hiking buddy and you’ll be rewarded with his affection! He welcomed being pet and liked to lean on me for love!”

Link would do best with adults or children that are comfortable with a large breed pup, as he is taller than most kiddos! He is very overstimulated by other dogs in his space, so a home without other dogs would be best. Link cannot live with cats.

Orange You Cute🍊🧡and Bananas For You 🍌💛are here to remind you about a very exciting event!

This Thursday, May 9 from 3- 5 PM our HAP team will be hosting our annual kitten and puppy shower event at the @brewhahacafe Greenville location! Attendees will have the opportunity to meet adoptable animals, win prizes, and learn how to get involved with HAP’s foster program! We rely heavily on fosters and donations during kitten and puppy season, as there is an influx of pregnant cats and dogs beginning in spring.

Attendees are encouraged to donate essential care items from HAP’s wishlists at humaneanimalpartners.org/give/wishlists (link in bio)!

Items can be shipped directly to any HAP location or dropped off at Brew HaHa! Monetary donations may also be made directly at humaneanimalpartners.org/donate or through our Venmo charity page, @hapde 💙

BIG BOY, BIGGER HEART 🥹❤️🐾 This #HAPWoofWednesday we are introducing our biggest good boy, Thor!

Thor is a 7 year old shepherd mix, weighing just under 100lbs! Thor came to HAP when his owners were no longer able to care for him. He previously lived with other dogs and has done well with other pups at the shelter too! He seems to prefer dogs that can respect his boundaries, though he makes a few exceptions for his female friends. What can we say...he’s a true gentleman! In typical shepherd nature, Thor can be vocal when guests approach the house, but this boy is strictly all talk! He is a total mush and quick to roll over on your feet. He absolutely adores belly rubs and will paw at you if he thinks he deserves a few more pets. Thor has gone to many events at local restaurants and parks, leaning his butt into everyone for scratches.

This gentle giant loves spending time with people and is very eager to please. Thor is an excellent listener, already house-trained, leash-trained, and knows basic commands! Since he is a big boy and can get occasional zoomies, an owner that is comfortable with large pups would be best! When he’s not busy being a genius, he has a playful side too. Thor loves to play fetch and will even bring the toy or ball back to you! Overall, he is a laid back boy, longing to find his people and head home.
