HEY SHEPHERD LOVERS👋❤️🐕 This #HAPFosterFriday we are reintroducing our handsome man, Rusty!

Truthfully, our staff and volunteers cannot believe this good boy is still searching for his home! Rusty is a 6 year old Shepherd mix that LOVES people, including children! Rusty came to HAP when he was found as a stray. Despite being in a new place, Rusty quickly made friends with our staff and volunteers! In typical shepherd nature, he is very talented at holding a conversation and letting you know what’s on his mind. Rusty will do anything for a game a fetch and yes, he brings the ball back everytime! He is a very smart boy and motivated to learn even more. Rusty is leash-trained, house-trained, and knows many commands. From posing with @cecilytynan on TV, to spending days exploring our community with volunteers, Rusty has been EVERYWHERE!

Rusty is currently thriving in a foster home with children! His fosters say he’s been so fun to have and such a lover boy!

‼️FOSTERS NEEDED‼️ We are in desperate need of fosters to support nursing mothers, bottle babies, and litters of kittens!

We have 163 kittens in our care currently, with nearly half of them being less than 8 weeks old! These tiny babies need all the love, care, and support they can get to grow into healthy, happy adults. Whether you’ve fostered with us before or are just starting out, our team will work with you to ensure a wonderful foster experience!

LUCKY CLOVER 🐶🍀💛This #HAPWoofWednesday we are hoping our girl, Lucky Clover, will find her people!

Lucky Clover came to HAP on a rescue flight from a high-intake shelter in Alabama. There, she was on a euthanasia list because she had given birth to a litter of pups and the shelter did not have space for all of them. We knew this 1 year old momma and her babies deserved a chance to find loving homes. Her puppies were quickly adopted, so now Clover is hoping to get lucky and find her forever home too! Upon arrival to HAP, Clover was very fearful of just about everything, often seen trembling in the back of her kennel or cowering on the ground.

Despite her nervous nature, she has been nothing but sweet to our staff and volunteers. With patience and love, she has blossomed into a spunky, affectionate girl! Once we discovered her secret love, stuffed toys, she surprised us all. Clover loves to play and gets the most adorable zoomies. She also is very eager to play with other pups and seems to really enjoy male dogs. Clover has opened up significantly in the month she’s been with us, snuggling up to her favorite humans for love.
