Spotlighting Our Long Haulers In Hopes of Finding Them a Home for the Holidays!
Every animal who comes through Humane Animal Partners has the same mission: finding a loving home. For many, that hope quickly turns into an adoption day full of happy tears and wagging tails, but for some, the wait is a little longer… Age, quirky personalities, and medical needs tend to dramatically affect a dog or cat’s length-of-stay at an animal shelter. That’s why we’re shining a spotlight on these special animals through the 12 Days of HAP!
These pets, whom we loving refer to as long haulers, have been in our care for months, sometimes even years. They might need may need a special diet, prescription, a bit of training support, or simply more time for the right person to notice them. But as their caretakers, we can tell you their love is limitless, and they deserve to find a home for the holidays!
For 12 days (December 13-24), we’ll feature one long hauler per day on socials – sharing their story, their personality, and all the reasons we adore them. These are our friends who have waited patiently, bounced back from challenges, and stolen the hearts of our staff and volunteers along the way. Our goal is simple: help them find loving homes while raising funds to support the care these special cases often need.
Long haulers often come with added costs… medical treatments, prescription food, enrichment, training, and everyday essentials add up quickly. Donations made during the 12 Days of HAP campaign go directly toward supporting animals in our care while they wait for their forever families… whatever they may need!
And because giving back should feel good, we’re adding in a little fun! Anyone who adopts one of the featured 12 Days of HAP animals or donates to the 12 Days of HAP giving campaign will be entered to win a special prize pack, including:
