Beloved Delaware coffee roasters partner with HAP to help homeless pets find families; educate the public on kitten and puppy season and the vital needs of animal rescue organizations
Humane Animal Partners (HAP), a statewide animal welfare organization with adoption centers in Wilmington, Stanton/Christiana, and Rehoboth Beach is partnering with Brew HaHa! to raise awareness around kitten and puppy season with a kitten and puppy shower event. Animal lovers across the region are invited to attend this free, family-friendly event on Thursday, April 27 from 3 PM – 5 PM at Brew HaHa’s Greenville location (3838 Kennett Pike, Wilmington, DE 19807).
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet and greet adoptable kittens, puppies, win prizes, sip on special pup and kitty cocktails, and learn how to get involved with HAP’s foster program. Animal welfare organizations like HAP rely heavily on fosters and donations as they enter kitten season. Items such as kitten formula, bottles, food scales, self-heating safe beds, puppy pee pads, and more are needed as rescue groups see an influx of pregnant cats and dogs, as well as kittens and puppies.

Items can be mailed directly to any HAP location or dropped off at Brew HaHa!’s Greenville location between April 17 and April 27. Also available for purchase will be Reggie’s Fund, a coffee blend for furry friends by Brandywine Coffee Roasters. In 2017, long-term HAP supporters and animal lovers Tatiana and Gerret Copeland made a significant contribution in memory of their beloved dog, Reggie. The gift established Reggie’s Fund to offset the cost of veterinary medical services for pet owners in need, aiming to prevent those owners from having to surrender or euthanize their pets due to high medical costs. $2 from every purchase of Reggie’s Fund coffee will directly support this life saving initiative through Humane Animal Partners.
