LOVING & LOYAL 🐕💜🐾 This #HAPFosterFriday we are sharing our fluffy girl that loves her breaks from the shelter!

Scramble was found abandoned on our property, scared and confused. One of our animal caretakers offered her scrambled eggs, to help build her trust. She immeadiately inhaled the yummy food and followed us inside, so we found it fitting to name her Scramble!

For a couple weeks, Scramble was on a meal plan to help her regain her weight in a healthy way. During this time, she opened up significantly with all our staff and was happy to show off her true personality. Scramble is a big time lover girl and very affectionate with her friends. To no surprise, she loves to use her voice to tell you how she’s feeling or what she wants.

In typical shepherd nature, she can be protective of her friends and hesitant of strangers. When greeting new people, she will happily welcome pets in exchange for some yummy treats. While she loves food, nothing excites her more than a tennis ball! Scramble loves to play fetch and she even brings the ball back! She already knows basic commands and walks well with a harness. Scramble does playbow and bark when she sees other dogs, so a dog that is comfortable with a vocal playstyle would be best.

LET’S TALK FIV+ CATS 🧑‍⚕️🩺🐾

Our FIV+ kitties tend to be overlooked for months at the shelter, simply for their diagnosis. Despite popular misconceptions, FIV+ cats can live a long and happy lifespan, if kept indoors and given routine veterinary care!

FIV, or Feline Immunodeficiency Virus, is a slow virus that affects a cat’s immune system over a period of many years, making them more susceptible to infections or cancers. FIV is not contagious to people or animals, other than cats, making them a completely safe pet in many homes!
